IT Manager

We’re partnering with a very well-established Newcastle organisation to find a hands-on IT Manager who will take ownership of the organisation’s technology function.

Reporting directly to the Director, this is a rare opportunity to take ownership of both the strategic direction and day-to-day operation of IT. You’ll play a key role in shaping the technology roadmap while remaining hands-on across infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity, business systems and vendor management.

The Role

You’ll take ownership of the organisation’s technology function, balancing strategic planning with day-to-day operational leadership. While infrastructure and cybersecurity services are supported by trusted external partners, you’ll oversee these relationships to ensure they continue to deliver secure, reliable and scalable technology solutions for the business.

A key focus of the role will be driving continuous improvement across the organisation’s business systems and applications. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to understand how technology can better support their teams, identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiencies, and lead the delivery of new systems, upgrades and technology initiatives.

From optimising Salesforce, Microsoft 365 and collaboration platforms through to shaping the technology roadmap, you’ll play a significant role in influencing how technology supports the future growth of the organisation.

You’ll ideally bring experience across:

• Business systems, applications and technology optimisation.
• Microsoft 365, SharePoint and collaboration platforms.
• Technology strategy and digital transformation.
• Vendor and stakeholder management.
• IT project delivery and change management.
• Infrastructure and cybersecurity oversight.
• Strong commercial thinking and the ability to align technology with business outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation.
